For a bit of background which may or may not be helpful.

  1. 1)      I have a degree in Electrical Engineering (Computer Science Option) from Queen’s University – 1987.
  2. 2)      I have spent a lot of time working on the design and support real-time process control and monitoring systems. For example:
    1. a.       Major control systems at Pickering: reactor control, boiler pressure control, fuel handling).
    2. b.      Environmental monitoring systems for fossil plants – e.g., Acid gas monitoring systems
    3. c.       Plant performance monitoring systems for fossil plants.
  3. 3)      One area where I specialize is in software testing (I am good at breaking other people’s stuff). 
  4. 4)      I am a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Cyber Security for control systems at Pickering.
  5. 5)      I have worked on IT systems (long ago), such as databases.

I do a bit of programming – everything from assembly language to python.
